Join the Alberta Chapter for a webinar "Mental Health: Support is Out There" at 10:00 am MST.

Our speakers are Nick Cortese, Dialogue and Seth McVeity, Centre for Suicide Prevention. Nick will discuss:

     • Health matters more and more to Canadians

     • Canadians look towards their employers for support

     • Current programs are insufficient or missing the mark

     • Canadians that receive support find it useful

     • Canadians are open to virtual care and self-led resources

Seth will cover the following topics:

     • Understanding suicide

     • Centre for Suicide Prevention

     • Buddy Up campaign

SPEAKERS:

Nick Cortese, Enterprise Account Executive, Dialogue (Western Canada)
Prior to joining Dialogue, Nicholas was part of a Western Canada team within the EAP and treatment space. With a background in Kinesiology and Psychology, he is a proven health and wellness industry leader while managing many partners and consultants. Nicholas has spoken at several conferences and volunteers with the CPBI of Alberta as part of their programming committee. The evolution of the EAP industry is what brought Nicholas to Dialogue and that virtual care is the present, and future of healthcare. Nicholas is also on the board of directors for Nation's Health.

Seth McVeity, Client Relations Coordinator, Centre for Suicide Prevention
Seth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Mount Royal University, with a major in marketing and a minor in social innovation. Seth supports the Centre's mission to reduce stigma and increase awareness and uptake of suicide prevention education. The Buddy Up Campaign is one of his main projects, which aims to promote authentic conversations among men and their buddies, while also contributing to the external elements of research and community development projects.
